Restaurant recommendations please

On our last visit to Paris we had dinner at the Jules Verne on the Eiffel Tower. I attempted to book nearly two months ago but they had no availability for lunch or dinner during our stay. The other restaurant (forgot the name) is closed for renovations. I’m looking for a restaurant similar in ambiance, wonderful food and views. Price can be comparable to the Jules Verne but cheaper would be fabulous. Timing might be an issue but thought I’d ask for your ideas. We leave for Paris 9/4 and heading to Avignon on 9/15. We are headed back to Paris 9/27 flying home on 9/29.

Check out Les Ombres, rooftop of Quai Branly museum. Amazing view of the Eiffel tower, much cheaper than Jules Verne but still very fancy with excellent food.
Or l'Oiseau Blanc, in the Peninsula hotel, rooftop as well. Pricier than les Ombres, untested by me.
Or La Tour d'argent, which has a great reputation and a great view of Notre Dame, but since the fire the lights are out at night so the view is probably better at lunchtime.

We enjoyed eating at Le Ciel de Paris at the top of the Montparnasse tower. Service was great, food was excellent, view of the Eiffel Tower was fabulous.

Wondering if anyone has been to Chez Dumonet lately.

It´s been about a year since I last went to Chez Dumonet. It was underwhelming and the bench seat with the broken spring, meaning sitting there one sees the table at almost eye level, is still broken. The bench has been like that for years. I have as much interest in returning to Chez Dumonet as they have in fixing the bench.

However, for a bistro atmosphere, Chez Lipp (Brasserie Lipp) continues to offer excellent fare. The atmosphere is old French, the waiters are always surly (yet strangely charming at the same time), and the food is skillfully prepared and presented. Chez Lipp is underrated.

Balsos recommendation of les Ombres would be my first suggestion for you.

We stayed in Paris for a week and just returned home after spending another week in Provence.

In Paris, we really liked buckwheat crepes in Breizh Café. They have three locations and we ate at all three of them.
