Restaurant Recommendations - Paris

I'm staying 2 weeks in Paris at the Hôtel Université Saint Germain des Prés.

Can I please get some moderately (*) priced restaurant recommendations around the hotel and also throughout Paris?

Can I get some recommendations for cafes for a coffee or drink to just sit and people watch?

(*) $$ or $$$ in google reviews

My favorite restaurant near this hotel, just around the corner, is Eclipses which is about 100€ per person without drinks.

More moderately priced, about 40€ to 50€ per person, and close by, I really like:

Aux Prés

Les Botanistes

Some of the most interesting restaurants in this area are along Rue du Cherche Midi where you´ll find Petit Verdot, Paul Chêne, and Chez Dumonet.

Of course if you just want to sit and watch people, why not Les Deux Magots (currently closed for remodeling), Café de Flore, or Café Louise.

I have no idea what $$ might possible be in google. $$ could be dollars in Canada, Australia or New Zealand. Please just reference euros.

Chez Dumonet has a fabulous grand marnier souffle and the best boeuf bourguignon we have found in Paris.

If you are open to cuisines beyond French food, one of our favorite meals was Kapunka Thai!

Try Wendy-Lyn's website: https://wendy-lyn.com. Her newsletter is "Paris Is My Kitchen." Wendy is an American who has lived in Paris over 20 years. Her new book is called, "Rainy Day Paris," and includes both places to eat & visit. She knows about all the best places to eat that may or may not be famous. The food scene these days is very vibrant in Paris, especially in some of the lesser-visited arrondissments. I was looking for a specific type of food and her recommendation was spot on. What a treat!

Les Deux Magots re-opened a few days ago. It is nice to sit on their terrace and people watch.
