restaurant recommendations - Latin Quarter & Montmartre

Hello!
Wondering if folks here have any restaurant favorites for a nice, leisurely sit down lunch in the Latin Quarter and Montmartre area. Targeting 12.45/1pm - and mid-week (Tues/Wed) in late July. The way our itinerary is shaping up (with two boys, ages 13 and 7), we are going to take a nice long midday break and enjoy a sit down lunch, and likely eat more casual dinners (i.e. creperie). So, our best shot at a nice French culinary experience will be midday.

Originally, I was looking for a place (French) with outdoor seating in the Latin Quarter, and had a recommendation for La Methode, 2 rue Descartes. Then someone recommended a Lilane (for better food) - and the menu looks great, but there is no outdoor seating - not sure if I should make that such a big criteria. Any favorites in this area? We will be walking to Luxembourg Gardens to let the kids sail boats following lunch, and coming from the Orsay.

For Montmartre, I am stumped. I was thinking of pivoting to Italian (for the kids), but I am open to all food types here. It's really hard to sift through restaurants online as there are hundreds and hundreds even when narrowing to a specific neighborhood. Any experience with a place called La Rughetta? Any favorites in and around this neighborhood?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

IMHO, you don’t really need recommendations. There are a ton of eating establishments in both those areas, and it’s truly easy to eat well in Paris. I ate at Bouillon Pigalle, which is in the lower part of Montmarte, but waited in line for a half hour because they don’t take reservations and are very popular. I am a foodie though and do things like that!
