Looking for restaurant recommendations for Beaune that would include a vegetarian option.
I had an incredible meal at the wine bar La Dilettante, including the best haricots verts of my life. Their entire menu is on a chalk board that they write out fresh each day. It's not exclusively vegetarian, but all the veggies were excellent. Arrive early and sit at the bar if you can, otherwise, reservations are recommended.
11 Rue du Faubourg Bretonnière, 21200 Beaune, France
Try La Ciboulette (69 Rue de Lorraine) I took a group there and they were able to accommodate 2 of our guests that were vegetarian. It was a delicious restaurant and the owners were as charming as can be.
Ah mon dieu 'Quin!
Of all the foodic reccos that we could suggest for fellow travelers, few compare with Beaune's Bistro Bourguignon. It is actually a winebar, the first ever in the area and right on the main drag. The original couple owners sold it a few years ago, but one assumes that the quality of food (as first suggested to us by traveling German business women) remains the same. Just superb.
*But what made devotees of us was their wine-by-the-glass policy, which seemed unique: A-list wines inc. Pommard, Gevry-Chambertin, Meursauult, Puligny-Montrachet et al! Uncheap but still...
The pinch marks remain...
I am done. The discerning cochon
We also recommend Le Bistrot Bourguignon.
Fantastic meal. Went there twice while in Beaune. (RS Eastern France tour).
