In the next couple of weeks we will be traveling from Vouvray to Beaune and thought we might stop for lunch in or around Chablis. Ideally we would stop at a vineyard that also serves food or a more rural country french type of place, but don't know if that's a possibility. We won't be in any particular hurry, so if we need to drive off the main road, that shouldn't be too much of a problem. Anyone have recommendations for us? Thanks in advance.
Try L'Augerge du Pot Etain http://www.potdetain.com/
It's recommended and in the countryside.
Or look on viamichelin.com putting in 89 Auxerre, 89 Chablis, 89 Noyers or 89 Joigny for lists of restaurants in northern Burgundy. Eighty-nine is the number of the department, the Yonne, in the north of Burgundy.
