Restaurant Michel - Marseille

I’ve searched this forum and only found a thread from 12+ years ago, so I thought I’d ask if anyone here has had the bouillabaisse at the venerable Marseille restaurant? I am not generally inclined to spend €100+ for a meal, but it sounds like it’s pretty special. Have you been - or would anyone have suggestions for other spots where we should indulge ourselves during our time next month?

I know some foodie couples who went in the past year or two. Neither raved about it. They filled up on the soup, croutons, rouille, and then had a huge platter of fish and shellfish staring at them to eat. My one experience with bouillabaisse was similar, but I regularly eat a lot of very good fish soup living near the Mediterranean Sea. The major difference is that bouillabaisse requires a rock fish that is very difficult to find nowadays.

Instead, at a quality restaurant, enjoy fish soup with its croutons, garlic, grated cheese, and rouille as a first course and order a shellfish platter for your main course. .
