Has anyone dined at L'Ange 20 in Paris in the last couple years/post covid era? Is it still great service and food? Thanks.
When do you consider post covid? I last ate there in October 2023. I found it fine but I stay a 5-minute walk from the location. Would I travel across Paris for it? Nope, but then again there are very few places that I would cross Paris for because there are so many good neighborhood eateries
Thanks JHK
I guess I consider anything from 2023 onward post covid. I discount restaurant reviews here and abroad from 2020-2022 because I think it's unfair to judge a place when staffing and supply issues were everywhere.
I'm staying on Ile Saint-Louis. Any recommendations for a relaxed bistrot dinner within a 15-20 minute walk? I have booked Ze Kitchen Galerie for lunch on your recommendation. I also have a dinner reservation at Hestia.
Thanks
Oh my goodness, I keep answering your questions. I hope you like Ze Galerie. I wanted to go when I was in Paris earlier this month but we were traveling with our son who is a very unadventurous eater so we stuck to less inventive places. Have you seen this thread on eating on Isle St. Louis. https://community.ricksteves.com/travel-forum/france/dining-on-ile-st-louis-paris
JHK, thanks for putting up with me.
Ze Kitchen was on my short list in 2022. I ended up at Automne and loved it. I'm looking forward to lunch at Ze.
I think I now have a good idea of dinner spots, but I'm always open for suggestions.
Thanks again.
