How far ahead to make reservations in Paris for major sights, in late April? Can you usually make them 1 or 2 days ahead?

It depends. Some sights you can book close to the day. Others you might need a week or so out. I've been looking at the ticketing sights for the Louvre and the Orsay Museums. Yesterday there were times open for both museums for today. HOWEVER, in October 2021 the tickets at the Louvre needed to be booked further out - like 1-2 weeks. You've got a number of days in Paris, I think, so you can be flexible on when you see what sight.
Which major sights did you have in mind? We might be able to tell you which ones you'll need to think about ahead of time.
There are certain days that most museums are closed - usually a Monday or Tuesday. You'll want to build your sightseeing itinerary around those closure days. I usually use an actual calendar and move things around so I can take that in to account.

The most popular one's I want to see are Le Louvre, D'Orsy, and Versaille. The others should be okay I think. I know these get very busy. I don't know about the last week in April.
