Reservation for Eiffel Tower

Reservation time blocks for Eiffel Tower allow ticketing for 5:00 or 8:00. For us, 5 is too early and 8 is too late. Can we buy 5:00 tickets and not show up until 6:30 or 7:00 and go right in?

In a word no, that is the idea of reserving a time so that you arrive at the allotted time not when you feel like. If you dnt like the times just wait in line with everybody else

If you walk up to the first or second level, you don't need a reservation. It is around 7 euro each, good exercise, and just look for the shortest line which would likely be the walk up entrance.

As the previous poster indicated, you can stand in line for the stairs to walk up, and that line is considerably shorter (depending on the time of year, you could get through it in 20-30minutes). We did this last time we visited, and it wasn't that bad (it was April when we last visited). We bought tickets ahead of time this time around, and I just read over the terms of agreement, and it states that "access cannot be guaranteed if you are late, but it may be possible if there are places available". So, it's a gamble, and I'm not sure it's really worth.
