RER line to CDG airport

I understand taking the RER line B from Denfert Rochereau (D-R) to CDG airport is an alternative to a taxi from the D-R part of the city. I am wondering if we have to change trains at any point between The D-R station and the airport. If so, are there elevators or does one haul luggage up long flights of stairs? Your advice is appreciated.

The RER B line to CDG passes through Denfert Rochereau so as long as you board the correct train, the Roissy Charles de Gaulle train and not the Mitry Claye train, you´ll make no changes.

There is an elevator at Denfert Rochereau to the RER level but this is the point at which the RER begins traveling on the ground (vs. deep underground) so the available staircases are not particularly deep. There are elevators at CDG and you´ll want to know in advance which of the two stations there you need: Roissypôle (serving terminals 1 & 3) or terminal 2 which is the second or last station when arriving CDG.

Thank you for your quick reply. It gave us the confidence that the trip would be manageable. We made the trip today and it went smoothly. Thanks for the reminder to take the correct elevator in the Denfert Rochereau station (to the track leading to CDG). Although the elevator we needed was out-of-service, the flight of stairs to the track was manageable, as you suggested it would be. We left at about 12:30 PM so the train was not very crowded and dealing with luggage was not a problem. However, I think it might be a different experience during the rush hours of the day.

Yes...it's direct and very easy. It will take just under an hour to get to the airport.
When you buy a ticket at the machine there is a specific option for CDG airport making that part simple as well!
