Where do we catch the RER from Terminal 1?

Hi Jim,

The RER does not go from CDG to Gare du Lyon, it goes to the Gare du Nord. The RER train station is located between Terminal 2D & 2E. Just follow signs in the terminal after you leave customs. There is a free shuttle connecting terminals 1 & 2 which runs frequently. If you have Rick's France or Paris guidebooks, there is a map of CDG showing the location of the RER station and bus stops. Look in the "Connections" section, at the end of the Paris chapters of either book.

If you want to get to the Gare du Lyon station from CDG, I recommend taking the Les Cars Air France bus #4, which goes from terminals 1 & 2 in CDG directly to the Gare du Lyon. Runs every 30 min., takies 45 min., €17.50. Buy ticket from the driver, or you can book online and save 10% - www.lescarsairfrance.com (be sure to print out tickets ahead). To find the bus, follow Paris by bus signs within either terminal.

You can there on the RER by taking the B line to Les Halles and then changing to the A line to the next stop at Gare de Lyon. That should be a cross platform change. From terminal 1, you need to take the CDGVAL shuttle train to the RER station, which is the next station marked terminal 3, then a short walk to the station. Airport map is here.

The Les Cars bus also stops at terminal 1.

Is this a different question to the one on the 11th, Jim?
