Rer B train Paris Mont 3 Vaug

I need some advise for a Paris travel plan. I’ll be traveling solo for the first time from Paris to Vire France to see family. I don’t recognize this train station and I can’t find it on the map. Is it hard to find?

I thought I would stay one night in Paris to help adjust to local time. Should I stay near airport? Or closer to the Mont 3 Vaug station?

Any advise more appreciated. Thanks
Denise

Mont 3 Vaug station is the Montparnasse train station in Paris. On rome2rio.com https://www.rome2rio.com/ it's listed as Paris Montparnasse Vaugirard, Vaugirard being the street that runs next to one side of this train station. Yes, look to stay in Paris near the train station and check your transportation options on the rome2rio website.

A slightly puzzling question.
I had to look up Vire, it is in Normandy (Calvados), and it does have a station.
I looked up train times on the DB website: https://www.bahn.com/en/view/index.shtml
There are direct trains from Paris Montparnasse station (aka Vaugirard), takes about 2h50. Is this what you mean by "Mont 3 Vaug"?
Paris Montparnasse is one of the main terminus stations in Paris. Not sure what any of this is to do with RER B, which is one of the express métro lines for getting around Paris and suburbs.,

Thank you everyone for such quick responses. I’m not sure where I got the Rer B part but yes that is the station was referring to. Love that a hotel is right there. I’m assuming I can get there directly from the airport.

My Aunt lives outside of Vire. That’s the closet station near them.
Thank you all again! It helps my concerns about traveling alone this time, usually I have a travel partner.

You can get the bus from CDG to Montparnasse station with your luggage in the bus hold.
http://www.parisaeroport.fr/en/passengers/access/paris-charles-de-gaulle/public-transport/le-bus-direct-line-4

It is about a 1/4 mile walk from where Le Bus Direct drops you on the southeast side of Gare Montparnasse. Walk down the Rue du Commandant Rene Mouchotte (same direction the bus is pointing) to the traffic circle (Place de Catalogne), walk to the right to the next street, Blvd Pasteur and another 500 ft and cross the Blvd at the cross-walk. Straight ahead is Rue Cotentin and Gare Vaugirard and the Novotel.

I’m assuming I can get there directly from the airport.

If you take a taxi. It's a flat fare from CDG (I'm assuming that's the airport you mean).
If you take the RER B, you'll have to transfer at Chatelet -Les Halles to the Metro 4 to get to the Montparnasse station.

The RER B connects to Line 4 at Gare du Nord, St. Michel, or Denfort Rochereau, all easier than Les Halles, but the bus Sam suggested is the easiest of all.

And the most comfortable (the Bus Direct that Sam suggested).

This is a nice part of town. The street Rue Montparnasse to the east of the station is the home of several well known crepe restaurants, Joselin being the best known. If a crepe dinner is in the cards, good options here and modest prices. Blvd Montparnasse is where the great Paris brasserie like Rotonde and Coupole are located. That are lots of other cafes and small restaurants. And it is a not terribly touristy part of town. If your arrival is early in the morning, you could also wander through Luxembourg gardens into the center of Paris; it makes a nice walk on a pleasant day. We have stayed for a couple of weeks in the general area and really enjoyed it.
