Does anyone know how to find therapeutic massage in Paris, similar to what you would find at a physical therapist's office here in the U.S.? I have back issues and thought it would be wise to make an appointment in advance of our trip in July. THANK YOU!!
I am not sure that I know what a therapeutic massage is versus a massage but you may want to check http://www.craigdennismassage.com/about.htm. I also got an excellent massage at Carita on Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré.
Thanks! Therapeutic massage basically means deep tissue work, not just a nice back rub! :)
A physical therapist is a kinesitherapeute in French. They are all trained in massage therapy. Just google for one near wherever you are. Maybe Kim can help you zero in on a particular therapist.
mrs,
I can relate to your situation as I also use massage to keep my back "tuned-up". The therapist I use also teaches at the College of Massage Therapy here, and I understand it's a really tough course to get a full RMT license. Those trained for working at Spas don't get the same level of training and are more limited in terms of the services they can provide.
The desk staff at your hotel may be able to recommend a reliable massage therapist in the area.
