Would like to spend a day to tour a few chateaus in Loire Valley and spend a little time taking in the scenery of the area. Would love to do this riding a bike, but wondering how far apart the chateaus are? Was considering starting in Amboise and hoping to rent a bike there, if possible? Would love any thoughts or tips! TIA!

There are a couple of bike rental places in Amboise. Not sure where you're starting the day, but if you're coming from Paris Amboise isn't the best place to hire from. Better to travel to Tours and hire there. More choice, and you save a lot of time in your travel from Paris, From Tours you can easily ride to Chenonceau and Amboise, or Langeias and Villandry.
(I say easily, but it depends how much you cycle at home)
