Is anyone in the know of a place that rents beach pads for use on the public beaches in Nice?
Like they do in the states (at least on the east coast) where you can rent just chairs or just an umbrella for the day.
I know the privates do the whole shebang but my husband and I are looking for a more affordable alternative.
Unfortunately the place we are renting does not have beach pads/chairs for us to use. We would rather not buy them as we can't take them home with us nor leave them at the rental.
Any insight from seasoned Nice travelers?

There should be rental facilities at the beach. Often you will see chairs set up and you check in with the attendant to rent one. But keep in mind that the Nice beach is not a lush, sandy beach. It is very rocky.

Right, those are the ones through the private beaches I believe.
We are here now and the private beaches are the only ones I see offering chairs/umbrellas for rent.
I was hoping maybe one of the public beaches do this for a more affordable price.
