We are Renting a La Boat in Brittany in April, should we pay the prepaid gas price or wait to be charged per hour on use? Does any one have feed back on the 4-night Messac to La Roche itinerary?

I assume you mean Le Boat, not La Boat.

Hi I assume that La Roche is La Roche-Bernard. Their website makes it very clear: you have to prepay for the gas, and upon arrival, you either get a refund if you've overpaid, or you pay the difference if you haven't paid enough. Otherwise, the route is a very good choice. La Roche-Bernard is the most interesting town, tourist-wise, along with Redon. The Vilaine is a very pretty river. "Vilaine" in French means ugly, but this river is anything but!
