My wife and I will be staying in the South for a month, arriving in Nice. We are amateur musicians. We would like to rent a weighted high-end piano keyboard and a cello fo the month of September. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you! Bruce

An interesting question. It's not the kind of thing amateur musicians would normally be doing. More of a professional thing. Expect to pay quite a bit of money up front (the whole cost) as a private individual rather than a business running a credit account.
I did the same as you may already have done and Googled it. Riviera Audio seem to be the biggest instrument and backline rental house in Nice. They also have a UK office in York it seems.

If they don't have a cello, I'm sure they could sub-hire one for you. They'll surely have a keyboard. I recommend the Nord Stage 4. I've rented Nord Stage 3 and they're lovely instruments. The Stage 4 is the latest model. You'd need some amplification to go with it though.
John Henry's is the go-to in London, but that's a bit far from Nice. I've used them and FX Rentals a lot.

Any chance you are members of ACMP (Associated Chamber Music Players)? They have a directory of musicians all over the world who enjoy playing with others. There may be someone in Nice who can help you out.
