My husband and I are planning a short trip from Paris to Normandy (3 full days). I'd like to take the train to Rouen, and then rent a car. We are staying in Bayeux and when we leave Normandy we will be taking a train from Bayeux to Avignon. Can someone refer me to a car rental agency which will accomodate the separate pickup and drop-off locations?

There are branches of Hertz in both towns, but the one in Bayeux is not by the train station.
You might find it more convenient to return the car in Caen, it is very close to Bayeux and there are several car rental companies at the station (use Google maps to find them, it is quite reliable) including Hertz and Avis.

I have been periodically checking car rentals in France. I don't think all offices are up and running. I would phone Autoeurope (1 (888) 223-5555) or Europecar (+33) 825 358 358).
Europcar is an actual car rental company while Autoeurope shops for best car rental offers. I have found both to be excellent sources of information. With Autoeurope, if you give them your plan they can help you execute it efficiently.
