The question is not whether or not the agency is "legal," but whether the apartment presented on their rental platform is. Agencies bear no responsibility for determining the legal rentability status of the apartment.

If by legal agency, you mean a legitimate business, the answer is yes. If by legal agency, you mean an agency with all of their listings having the required registration number, the answer is no. Some of their listings have the number and some do not.

Is that true? I thought that was one of the areas of dispute, and was why Paris sued AirBnB.

AirBnb is being sued for not ejecting apts that have been rented for more than 120 days from the platform and for not requiring rentals to have a registration number. Until this case is settled, agencies have no responsibility. And this case is dragging on and on.

Meanwhile, Paris is actively pursuing with its fining process, owners of illegal rentals. A recent article:
