I'm planning out a trip for this fall and for this part of Brittany will be traveling by train. I get into Rennes around 10am. I'd like to see Rennes, and also visit Vitre which is about 30 minutes away by train. It seems like trying to do both in one day may be rushing it, but I thought I'd check with people who have been to these 2 cities and see if they thought a couple of hours in each was a good visit or if they think 2 days is better.
