Reliable Paris transport co for group of 8

Need recommendation for group of 8 to take us from Marais apartment to Gard du Nord w/ luggage. Anyone have experience trying to book 2 cars w/ Uber or G7? Or are we better off booking one large van with some other car company. Catching an early 7:15 train so don’t want to leave anything to chance.

I would do it with G7. They are reliable.

Unfortunately there is a 7-euro fee to reserve a vehicle ahead of time, which will mean a total of 14€ for the two vehicles you need, but it's worth paying for the peace of mind and knowing they will show up when they have promised to.

A normal taxi van takes 7 so 8 means two -- And 7 and luggage is of course tricky. I'd get two from G7 and be generous about timing. WE only made a train traveling from Butte aux Cailles to Gare du Nord because i booked much earlier than the recommended time. It was pouring rain, the city was at a standstill, and the cabbie was using every trick to get us there including going through parking areas and once the sidewalk as well as using bus lanes -- he had to let us out a bit further than we would have liked but the scrum to get to the Nord drop area was totally jammed up -- we made it by the skin of our teeth. I hate using taxis IN Paris because cross town grid is a thing -- we have had it happen twice now that it took more than twice as long as predicted to get across the city. I am very conservative about transfer times and sometimes that means cooling our heels at a station -- but with 8 you have a party LOL. On several occasions we only made the train because of my excess caution -- a tram broke down in Amsterdam and we had to walk the last km to get the Thalys; the airport shuttle driver in Rome got lost looking for the last passenger (he was asking little old ladies on street corners for directions - pre google maps) and he got us there an hour later than booked; the rain and grid lock in Paris. Things that usually work don't always work so I am always conservative when the stakes are high.

We have used G7 many many times and they have never failed to show when they said they would (usually about 5 minutes early). Id want 2 van cabs with luggage and 4 per car.

Thank you so much for the G7 recommendation. That is very helpful. It calms my nerves to know they are reliable!

Do be sure to book the day before...even better, with two vans needed, I would book even another day earlier (for Thurs pickup, book on Tues. e.g.). And yes, be liberal with the time for pick-up. One never knows about traffic.

If the train departs at 7:15 am, they are going to be in the taxis so early that traffic will not be an issue.

I haven't seen any reference to where you might be going from Gare du Nord.... it wouldn't happen to be the Eurostar to London would it? If it is you need to be there plenty early - how early will be on your tickets, but it is usually 90 minutes for a standard ticket because of having 2 sets of border control including EES exit...

But maybe you're off somewhere with less hassle like Amsterdam or Lille.

I'd agree with using G7.
