Reliability of Bus Arles to Stes Maries de Mer

I would like to do a day trip to Stes Maries de Mer from Arles and the only way I see is to take an hour bus trip. It appears the bus schedules change when school begins. Are these buses available for travelers other than school people? I do not want to get stuck in Stes Maries for my hotel is in Arles. Please advise Thank you

If the bus timetables are available to the public, which it looks like they are, they are open to anyone. If they are only for school pupils, the schedules will only be given to them.

public buses are available to anyone but as you've noticed they are oriented around the needs of local residents. And there are going to be schedule exceptions for holidays and festivals.

I suggest asking someone who speaks French, such as the staff at the front desk of your hotel in Arles, to check the website and make sure the buses are running as you expect.

William,

It's always a good idea to ask about the bus schedules at the Tourist Information Office when you arrive to Arles.

My daughter & I were in Provence (Avignon) in June & we took a couple of buses to different towns in the area (Saint-Rémy, Les Baux, & L'Isle sur la Sorgue)

The TI was very helpful & they provided us with current bus schedules, maps, & general information about the
towns we planned to visit.

Have a wonderful trip!
