Relatively Quiet but Convenient Arrondissement Paris?

What is a recommendation for a relatively quiet but convenient arr? I'm thinking the second?

It is a highly commercial area: I don't know why it would be quieter than the 4th or 5th or 6th or 11th. Quiet isn't about arrondissements but about the specific street and whether you are above a late night bar or similar place. And no matter where you are -- we stay in a completely residential area often, there will be a lonely drunk hooting and singing at 2 am. We have stayed in two thirds of the arrondissements and I would say the most significant factor in quiet at night is having the bedroom on the courtyard rather than the street. Not infallible -- we once had a bakery below us that started work in the wee hours and thus light sleeper that I am, I would be awakened by workers arriving and supplies being delivered.

I understand thank you, I guess I was thinking more along the lines of less crowded and easy to navigate. I’m not really concerned with noise per se, Paris is a city after all! I’m just looking for a relatively easy area to navigate and get around that is not super crowded for my first time being there and traveling alone.

a few months ago, we stayed in a lovely apartment in the 3rd arrondissement, not far from the Arts et Metiers metro stop (and museum of the same name) and found it both convenient and (relatively) quiet. we have visited Paris many times, and so wanted to explore a new neighborhood and be away from the frenetic pace of the 5th and 6th arr.

More convenient to what?

I find that the right bank is generally noisier, busier, more congested, more costly, and less convenient to the things I like to do than the left bank...look to the left bank, near a Metro stop...I like select areas in the 15th, not too popular on this board for where to stay, but I like it a lot...

Good luck.

I stay in the bustling neighbourhood centering on Place de la Republique. Here is its convenience: The Metro station under the square is served by five different lines. That choice speeds up connections all over the city.
