We are considering a month-long apartment rental near the train station in Reims. Is this a good neighborhood in which to spend 30+ days?

We've stayed in and explored that area and never felt anything other than comfortable. Enjoy!!

Not a bad neighborhood at all; I stayed on the back side of the station, which is sort of out of the way of most things, but it wasn't a problem.
I must say I struggle to imagine spending a month in Reims, which--though it does have a few sights--I found one of the least interesting cities I've visited in France. I care nothing for champagne, though, which I guess might matter a lot.
