Reims from Paris: any 2 night stay thoughts/experiences?

Following my Best of Paris Steves tour (Feb '23), I'm considering 2 nights in Reims for the cathedral. champagne, & proximity to CDG as I fly out (God willing) on 20 Feb. Have to figure out how too get from Paris to Reims and back to CDG efficiently.

Unfortunately the Reims soccer/futball team is away on the 19th--(but PSG vs Real Madrid play on the 13 during our tour. Hope to find a local cafe w/Parisians enjoying that game.) ab

You can take a 46 minute train ride from Paris Gare de l'Est to the Reims Ville station. This station is an easy walk to many hotels.

CDG is a 20 minute train ride from the Champagne-Ardenne TGV station just outside of Reims (just take a cab).

In 2019, we stayed at the Best Western Hotel de la Paix, and highly recommend it. It's a 6 minute walk from Reims Ville.

If you have time, the Surrender Museum (Musee de la Reddition) is well worth a visit. It is where the Nazis first surrendered to the Allies.

I like to use Trainline for buying tickets. The website is user-friendly and the service fees aren't much.

That makes me happy! The Palais du Tau next to the Cathedral is a great museum. I regret not buying one of the gargoyle magnets that I saw in the gift shop. I haven't seem them since!
