We would like to take a one-day tour in April that combines both Fontainbleau & Vaux-le-Vicomte. Can you recommend a tour company that would include transportation to/from Paris.

I did this exact tour through Paris City Vision this past September. It was a big bus and full, but only 12 of us were on the guided tour, which I think was well worth the additional cost. We went to Vaux-le-Vicomte first with time for lunch on our own at their cafeteria. We had a good 45 minutes at each chateau to explore on our own after the tours. While I knew I could visit these sights on my own with my Navigo pass, I wanted to do both in one day and really didn't want to deal with train schedules. This tour fulfilled my expectations and I can recommend it.
By the way, be sure to book any tour directly through the provider rather than fthrough a third party such as Viator. I booked through the Paris City Vision website.

I used Paris City Vision Tours back in 2014 and was pleased with their service.
