Traveling AMS to Gare de Nord. Rick type hotels in the area?

Do you want to stay in the immediate area of Gare du Nord? For how many nights? Or is this just for a a late night layover and an early departure in the morning?
For how many people?
What budget?

As said, unless just in transit, that would not be my first choice of area to stay in, I have stayed in quite a few small clean , nice budget- moderate priced hotels, but it would help if you state your budget( in euros) and needs( how many people etc)

Do you have the RS Paris guide book yet? If so, great. If not, I would suggest you get one and it can be ordered elsewhere on this web site. We use it a lot when we stayed in Paris in May and June of this year and it has lots of hotel recommendations.
