Wanted to go to a cabaret show while in Paris and am looking for recommendations and whether or not the dinner offered is worth it or if we should just go to the show and eat elsewhere?
Moulin Rouge is where most people think they want to go. Have a look at their current website to see what you'll be in for:

You don't get to choose a seat unless you can pay for the VIP section. Dinner is highly overrated. If you go, just choose the drinks option. You do get one can-can at the end, though.
Crazy Horse is more "artsy", some prefer it:

The same goes for dinner - just choose the drinks option.
Haven't been to Moulin Rouge but my French girlfriend says it's worth seeing.
As a general rule, I'd keep your meals seperate from entertainment.
Is the experience at Moulin Rouge worth the money? Would you rather spend the night by the river Seine or go to the show?
We have been to Paris once and are visiting again one of the weekends in July. Need to decide if we should opt for Moulin Rouge this time. Suggestions welcome.
We've been to Paris at least a dozen times over the past 25 years-finally went to Moulin Rouge last year for the first time. It was fun, but I wouldn't do it again. I'm glad we did it once though.
