We will only be there for 2 days with my daughter and fiance. We will have a car. Thanks!
We really liked Le Jardin de Sarlat. Friendly hosts and an easy walk to the medieval center.
We stayed at La Villa des Consuls http://www.villaconsuls.fr/en/, right in the medieval city. It has both apartments and rooms and can provide private parking a short walk away. It was great.
We really enjoyed our 4 night stay at Hotel Bon Encontre.
Pool, parking, easy walk down to town, comfy rooms, charming host, decent bkft, great views
And we loved La Lanterne. Inside the old city, wonderful breakfasts (they even got my husband kippered snacks when he told them he loves them), a flower-filled courtyard where you could sit with a glass of wine (putting one euro in the "honesty box"), and lovely rooms. They also made arrangements for our canoe trip on the Dordogne River.
I know you said Sarlat, but we loved loved loved L'Ombriere. It was perfect for visiting Sarlat and the caves, La Roque, Beynac, Urval, and Siorac.
The couple were delightful, the beds were comfy, and we were very pleased ! Take a look !
Maison Pierre d'Or in Sarlat, quick walk to the old town area. (HomeAway) if you could stay 3 nights. Completely equipped beautiful apartment, sleeps 3
