We are trying to incorporate the D-Day sights into our itinerary for a trip to Belgium which will include visits to Ypres and Poperinge.
We spent 3 weeks in France 6 years ago and loved in. On that trip we spent 3 nights in Bayeux and took a wonderful day tour of the D-Day beaches with Dale Booth tours. It was an amazing tour that I would highly recommend although it was expensive but fortunately we were with another couple there and we split the cost. If I remember correctly there are other tours that RS has listed in his France guide book that I checked into they all looked good and they were a lot less expensive.
Have a great trip!

In September 2019, we took two tours with Overlord - one covering American highlights, and the other covering the British and Canadian sectors. Both were excellent.
We took tours last Fall with Bayeux Shuttle. They were excellent. We took both the all day American sector tour, and the all day British/Canadian sector tour.
We took Dale Booth's two-day tour of American beaches. He is so much in demand we planned the whole trip around his availability. Bayeux is a very convenient place to stay. The Tapestry is amazing!
I toured with Overlord and they were excellent and the pickup Point is in front of the Hotel Churchill in Bayeux.

We toured with Sylvain Kast of D-Day Experience Tours. Excellent guide who is a wealth of knowledge and passionate about the history. Highly recommend! https://www.d-day-experience-tours.com/tours/
