Recommendations for nice hotels "between" Musee D'Orsay and Gare St. Lazare

It appears that this would be within the 2nd, 6th, 7th, or 8th Arrondissments, if I am reading Google Maps correctly.
Not looking for something ultra fancy; just the usual desires -- clean, nice, safe area. Ok spending $300-$400.
Proximity to good restaurants and nice pastry/coffee shops would be a plus.

This would be just 2 nights in early October. We arrive in Paris, want to see Musee d'Orsay, and then we will take the NOMAD train from Gare St Lazare to Bayeux (Normandy).

Thank you

Hotel Le Regent. Walking distance to the museum, budget friendly, less than 5 minutes to Metro, easy walk to Notre Dame, plenty of restaurants and pastry shops.

Thank you very much Carol; it looks nice -- and I like the idea that they offer a hotel shuttle.

All, are there any hotels that are recommended "on the other side" of Orsay - between Orsay and Gare St Lazare?
If that would be too pricey a location or not desired (not safe; other end of the spectrum), please share your thoughts.

Thank you

Of the hotels I’ve stayed at in Paris, The Hotel Saint-Petersbourg Opera matches your geographical specs and might be within budget depending on your exact dates*. It’s a very elegant hotel, on a quiet street, in a busy area, within a 7 minute walk to Gare Saint-Lazare.

*Paris Fashion Week for women’s ready-to-wear will be September 28-October 6, 2026 and that will affect prices and availability all over Paris that week.

Thank you JenS

Well, we plan to arrive the night of the 5th, and head to Normandy on the 7th -- we appear to be catching the tail end.
Still, I will check out P&A.
