Hi all. I should have had my hair cut before I headed to Europe, but got too busy and now it’s driving me crazy. Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced place for a woman’s cut and style in Lyon? Preferably with a stylist who speaks English. Thank you!
If some one on the hotel staff has a good looking cut ask them where they get it done?
Yes, the first time I needed a haircut in Europe, I asked someone at the desk of my hotel. Unfortunately for my wallet, I was staying at a 4-star hotel rather than my usual sort of place, and I ended up at quite an expensive hair salon. Since then I have just kept my eyes open as I walked around. Many less-expensive salons post their fees, so I can choose an inexpensive option. I figure hair grows, so no big deal, but I've never had a problematic haircut. I admit, though, to not being vain about my appearance.
Costs are often posted outside salons. Your best is to ask your hotel and tell them your budget. Or just take a stroll, find a salon with prices posted, and go in and ask if you can get a reservation Finding an english speaking coiffeuse is another story. You're better off taking a photo of what you want it to look like.
