Our family will be driving from Interlaken to the south of Holland on our way back from a road trip. We'd like to stay in a quaint, scenic town along the way - preferably at a half way point. Any suggestions for an overnight town in eastern France?

The shortest route from Interlaken to Holland is not via southern France, it is through Germany.
How about one of the towns in the Rhine Gorge area, Rüdesheim, Bacharach etc.?

Thanks for the reply. I should mentioned that we are staying alone the Rhine / Mosel on our way from Holland to Interlaken so thought we may see if there's any place notable if we drive in France, close to border of Germany.
