Recent visit to La Place Royale in Paris?

Hello,
Going to Paris next month and looking for a restaurant to celebrate a special birthday. Not overly fancy, but with a menu that has something for my picky preteen, one that good desserts (a must!), and a nice ambience. I saw La Place Royale in the guidebook, and it looks like it could fit the bill. But, they do not have a website, so I can't see what they might have on their menu. Tripadvisor pictures look promising, and reviews have been good as well. Has anyone been recently that can share their experience, and what might have been on the menu? Merci!

I have never been to this restaurant but out of curiosity I looked on Google Maps.

The opinions are relatively good, however from the photos the dishes look very basic, steaks and fries, pasta, poorly presented fish fillets. Apparently it's a place where you can also eat quickly for lunch when you're in a hurry

The photos of the menus show very basic desserts as well: Pineapple carpaccio tarte Tatin, crepes flambées...

This kind of dessert is not a real cook's dessert (I guess the tarte tatin is not homemade)

If the important thing is a good memorable dessert, this is really not the place to go.
