Recent Trips to France

Returned from France 5 days ago. No problem getting into tourist attractions, shops, or public transportation - showing my CDC vaccination card. We spent time in Provence.and Paris.

I used the emed and Abbott at home testing for required Ag testing to re-enter US without any difficulty.

Glad you had a problem-free trip (besides your issue with Hotel Colbert as per your other thread)!

Many thanks for your valuable input! We have not received our QR codes and are hoping our CDC cards do the trick as well. We also purchased the Abbott at home testing with the e-med feature, so we feel relieved that the US accepted this for the trip home. We really appreciate all our fellow travelers' posts to this forum; the information is invaluable!

Merci beaucoup,

Diane

Actually the test box I brought and used via emed works out to $25.00 per box and it was so convenient and I knew from my France trip a month earlier that it would be accepted by the airline.

Hi SOC

Did you go to any museums in Nice by any chance? My QR code has not arrived and I am leaving Wed. How about restaurants? I'm really only interested in going to small cafes and nothing fancy so hope they will take the code:) Glad you had fun.

Derpasaurus: I think people feel more secure about the timing.

We have people even on an ex-pat website writing that they are bringing US test kits when they are coming to explore moving to France. Go figure.

SOC, I had seen on another forum that people with test kits (not sure of the brand) were on hold for quite a while waiting for a proctor to do their test. It sounds like that was not your experience?

Thanks for your update!

Emed's website currently notes that due to increased traffic users may experience increased hold times for the monitored test. I was planning on ordering test(s) for our upcoming trip, but I'll have to ponder that a little more.
