Recent KAT experience -- how early to arrive

what is a KAT?

In my little city it’s Knox Area Transit...never heard of it at Versailles.

Anyone who had done it knows the Kings Apartment Tour, the way to avoid the long line. Hoping someone has done it recently and can share their experience.

Ask Mary from Cleveland. She just posted that they were visiting Versailles yesterday.

She didn't do the KAT -- there are two security lines at Versailles -- the perimeter security which I am asking about -- how long is it at 9 am? And then the security for the chateau which can run a couple of hours which I am skipping. the perimeter security is new -- trying to figure out how early we need to get there to clear that. Don't want to be standing in the courtyard for two hours waiting for the tour.

I was there May 2nd. I believe we arrived a little before 9. Perimeter security was pretty cursory and we didn't have to wait at all.
