RATP travel choices

A group of three will be traveling to Paris and staying in Zone 5. We arrive on a Friday and leave Thursday. In that time we will be coming into central Paris for a day, going to Versailles and Central Paris another day, spending three days within zone 5 at Disneyland, and then going into Central Paris for two more days. I have tried to figure out what the best option would be as far as tickets/passes but have not been able to come to a full understanding of the system and what would be better. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Are any of the three people children, and if so, what age(s)?

Where is your lodging? (In Paris or outside? you mention going "in" to central Paris)

Depending upon your dates, I would recommend buying a Navigo Découverte :

You have to buy a card and put a photo image on it but the price is good. The main drawback is that it starts on Mondays and ends Sundays so you pay for the entire week no matter when you start it. We used it multiple times but we also enjoy taking the Metro to get around town. Others buy a book of 10 tickets which can be valuable if you are only using the metro sparingly.

the ND will work for you if you spend your initial days at Disney i.e. Fri-Sun. Get an ND that you use for Versailles and travel to Paris. It will cost about 27 Euro each including the one time 5 Euro charge for the card. You need a postage stamp size head shot for each of you. 25/30mm. Just buy it at the RER station at Marne Le Vallee. If there is no line the clerk might assemble it for you, but otherwise will sell you the kit and charge it up for the week. You can buy it any time after you arrive but it starts on Monday. It is unlimited travel in all 5 zones for the week and will also be valid to CDG. There is no child's ND but it is still cheaper than other options for kids.

A round trip from Disney to Paris costs about 16 Euro. From Paris to Versailles is another 8 or so Euro, so with two trips to Paris you will have more than received the value of the ND and it is all free from there.

When you look for tickets, check duration. The more stops the longer the train will take to get to your destination. The earlier you purchase the cheaper the ticket will be. They can get pricy as your trip draws near, I'm not sure that applies to short runs to Versailles or Disney?
