Bonjour Steves community!
Just booked 7th consecutive summer trip to Europe (2020 doesn't count!), and as usual thrilled, excited and grateful 🙂
This time we land in Paris on a Saturday morning at 11:15am. Not interested in going to Paris, not right away anyway. We visited Paris last summer and it was fantastic, but would much prefer to start trip somewhere quieter. But still good food, charming town, rural/ag areas, decent network of bicycle trails.
We want a relatively short train journey, under three hours let's say, and don't really want to go through Paris with all the train changes in busy stations.
Beaune comes to mind - Burgundy in general seems to tick the right boxes. Anywhere else to think about, in Burgundy or otherwise? Up by Sedan maybe? Near Lyon?
Thanks 🙏 for the ideas 💡💡💡💡!
