After a canceled Rhine cruise, my sister and I have to make our own itinerary. Need morning train from Basel to Paris on 10/25 and affordable hotels in Paris. Close to train stations perhaps. And since I’m a Steelers fan - hope to catch the game on 10/25. Suggestions please?!! Thank you

For trains, go to the French railway website SNCF-connect.com Most trains from Basel terminate at the Gare de Lyon. It’s near Place de la Bastille which is a nice area. Good restaurants and Metro connections. I’ve stayed at the Hotel Castex in that area. It’s a 3 star hotel with reasonable prices.

By “catching the game,” do you mean watching it on tv ? Or going to the Stade de France to be there live for the game against the Saints ?
