I was on the official website and didn't see where I indicate what time I wanted, just the date. Also, for the 15.5€ each, it looks like that is to the very top. Is it assumed we also take the elevator to the first level or would we have to walk the stairs to that one?

I'm surprised you've been ignored.
So, this was my experience when i was there.
I dont remember the cost, but if i remember correctly you could pick what ticket to buy. From the ground to the 2nd? level or ground up to the top including the 2nd level.
what i remember was that you had to transfer at the 2nd level and wait again to take another lift to the top. Then it would start over to get down. but i believe you can walk down from the 2nd level, but i didnt. Also, from what i understand, you can hike up to the 2nd level if you choose.

It seemed that regardless of whether I chose the top or second floor, the website wanted to charge 15.50 Euros. But I could have been doing something wrong.
Kathy I have been looking at the Eiffel Tower site also. The time will show up when you have selected a date and you press the confirm button. If the time is green it is available. I believe it is still a little early for us to order the tickets for the time we are there (May 8-12, 2015). You take a lift to the 2nd level then switch to another lift to the top. You are correct on the 15.5 euro for the price all the way to the top. You can walk up to the 2nd level and it is a little cheaper. Not sure I want to walk up 793 (or something like that) steps.

Carole, I have a feeling our legs will be rebelling against us by the time we get to Paris.......I feel the elevator is in order ;)
Kathy you are correct on our legs rebelling by then. We are planning on doing the tower on our last day of our trip so definitely the elevator is what we are going to do.
