Question about Versailles Restaurant - Ore

I have read that if you dine at Ore, which is connected or right next to the Chateau, you have the option to pay an entrance fee and they will cut you past the security line straight in. My question is, if you dine at the restaurant will they still cut you past the line if you have a museum pass and do not pay the entrance fee to the restaurant?

Have you e-mailed the restaurant?

This was their response:
For your information, know that the Museum Pass do not give you a priority access at the château de Versailles.
Also, know that every customer of our restaurant can enjoy our skip-line entrance. So then if you have some breakfast or some lunch in our restaurant, then you will not line-up, and using your Museum Pass.

I was hoping others had tried it and knew because it seems like it's a yes from the email but I am not 100%

This review comes from Yelp, written in March 2017:

Be sure to make a reservation at Ore if you are planning a trip to the Palace of Versailles! Upon the completion of your meal, the restaurant staff will guide you to a special entrance to the palace which will help you skip the crazy queue( saved us hours of waiting outside in the freezing weather) !

It does appear that you will have to pay an additional fee to enter the restaurant if you want to enter Versailles after your meal.
The Museum Pass would be a good idea, if you plan to visit more museums and attractions.

I was not aware of this option, but both the restaurant's email and the Yelp quote make it sound like your plan is good. Whether you have a pass or a ticket in hand, you can walk through their door.

I don't understand chexbres comment above about an extra fee. Maybe that's a typo. There is a €40 breakfast menu option that includes a ticket to the Palace. I'm guessing they just offer that as convenient, one-stop shopping for people who don't have a pass. It's otherwise the same as the €20 breakfast.

Just an FYI, went this morning with my girlfriend and we each had the museum pass. We arrived around 9 and the line wasn't horrible (maybe 30 mins) but made a reservation for Ore a couple weeks ago and we needed to eat breakfast anyway. We were one of two tables seated at 9 so it seems like availability is decent, at least in the morning and we did not have to purchase entry through the restaurant to cut the security line. Kind of surprised this is not more widespread because it can save people hours of waiting at times. By the time we left the chateau around 11:30 the line was beyond ridiculous and if I had to guess I would say 2-3 hours. Anyways hope this helps people! And, Rick, if this somehow makes the book, the name's Brad
