Question about attraction admission

I'm looking at prices right now for attractions and museums. I am 19 and my friend is 21. Do we get the discounted rate that some places offer? Places such as the eiffel tower? It says: Jeune 12-24 ans 12.5 €

I know some places give discounts to younger people from the EU but some seem to give those discounts to anyone in general that is 12-24. I just want to make sure I buy the right ticket! Please help!

Eiffel Tower: why not walk up? That's around 7 Euros. Find the shortest line, and that should be the line for the steps. At your age, that should be your first choice. I'm a senior and I walked up to 2nd level with my daughter. (For a bit more, you can buy the elevator to the top level. Ask about it when you pay for the walk-up.)

Someone posted recently that it is no longer possible to buy the elevator ticket on the second level. If that is the case, walking up to the first level is no longer a cheaper/quicker option to the upper-level viewing platform.

You cannot buy the elevator ticket on the second level but you can buy it at the same time you buy the walkup ticket; I think the combo is 19 Euro now 10 to walk and another 9 for the elevator to the top (prices have gone up). ON the Eiffel Tower I think the youth price is ONLY available to school groups not to individuals who just show up. You will notice that it is listed as school groups.

Some museums e.g. the Orsay comes to mind have a youth rate for non EU people under 26 -- no one cares if you are a student; these things are always based on age and all you need is the passport not some bogus international student ID. All youth 25 and under are free at the Louvre on Friday evening regardless of nationality. At the Orsay you save about 25% by being a young person.

You can go to the Eiffel Tower and anywhere else you want to, if you are 19 and 21.
You don't have to get the discount - you just get a ticket.
