We want to hike in the Chamonix region in mid-September, but we’d rather stay in a quaint village nearby. We’d like to easily access Chamonix, but avoid the crowds and overpriced lodging. Can anyone recommend a quaint, quiet village in the area and/or favorite lodging?
Will you have a car or rely on public transportation?
We are open to either, depending on what’s needed for what we choose.
You can look at the picturesque villages overlooking the Trient Gorge ,north and east of Chamonix on the route of The Mont Blanc Express https://www.mont-blanc-express.ch/en/parcours-du-mont-blanc-express-fp871
