Pyrenees: bus/taxi frequency between Gavarnie and Gedre

Hello -
I'm struggling to find accommodation in Gavarnie for 9/6-9/7. I will be hiking to and from there in the first week of September.

I have to consider lodging in Gedre, but I need to make sure I can get there via a taxi or bus as it's too far to add onto my hikes.

I found a current bus schedule here: https://storage.googleapis.com/is-wp-90-prod/uploads-preprod/2023/12/Desserte-hivernale-Gavarnie-2024-002-965.pdf
However, the times are too few and far between.

Does anyone know:
1. when this 965 schedule gets updated?
2. are there typically more times in summer/early September?
3. if taxis are easy to come by in Gavarnie and Gedre?

I've reached out to the tourism office in Gavarnie, but haven't heard back.

Thanks for any insight!

The section of bus line 965 which goes to Gavarnie is seasonal and is only operational in winter from late December until mid-March.

The area bus route map is here:(line 965 dotted section between Luz-St-Sauveur and Gavarnie indicates that it is only seasonal)

Without a car you will have to take a taxi or hitchhike. There are 3 or 4 taxis in the Gavarnie-Luz-St Sauveur area, plus ambulance services which can act as taxis.

I've just heard back from the local tourism office:

"There is a bus from Lourdes to Gavarnie, it works everyday from June 1st until September 30th. Unfortunately we don’t have the schedule yet. We will receive the updated timetable the last week of May. You could check it out on: https://www.lio-occitanie.fr/ or you can contact us back again nearly June."

Seems there will be a summer bus...just need to wait for the schedule.
