We are arriving at the Geneva airport early Wednesday March 18 and need to travel to Annecy the same day. We have tried to find trains on that day, but have had no luck.
We are only finding FlixBus options or car hire.
What are we missing, please? Is train travel from Geneva to Annecy limited to certain days?

Trains require 2 changes from the airport to Annecy. Flixbus is the easiest and fastest way to get to Annecy. I’ve used Flixbus numerous times and they are great, on time and safe.

The many private shuttles are popular because they are efficient. We used AlpyBus and were very happy. https://www.alpybus.com/

You can take the PUBLIC bus, route 272, to Annecy from Geneva. It's about 90 minutes but will be your cheapest.
Otherwise, the other buses will work. BlablacarBus is an option too.

We took FlixBus from Annecy to Geneva city last May and were very satisfied with the experience.
