Proving prior Covid Infection for a single shot

The French Diplomat site directly stated that people who have recovered from Covid-19 need only one shot. They provide no further guidance on what paperwork we need to show.

Two of our party had Covid in September and should wait 90 days before their first (and only required shot). That means they will be getting shot #1 a couple of weeks before we leave. I plan to bring copies of positive and negative tests, and was thinking about having a letter from a doctor accompanying this as well. I’m quite nervous for my 22 y/o because if what we bring isn’t enough, he will turned around as an adult.

I have sent multiple (English) emails to various parties in France trying to get a good answer.

But what is a certificate of recovery? We don’t have such a thing do we, other than to show dates of infection and a negative test following.

You need to check with the embassy or see what your airline recommends.

In the U.K., the advice is to get the first vaccine 28 days after testing positive, not 90 days, so you need some official confirmation, not the guesswork of fellow travellers.

My son’s university said that a doctor can provide a statement of recovery. The question is will France accept that. I tried calling the embassy last week and never reached anyone. I will try again.
