Provence Wine Trip

Going to Provence in September. Looking to hit up some wineries.

Any recommendations would be great.

Any wineries that dont require an appointment would even be better!

I have picked a place to stay yet, but plan on taking the TGV to Avignon and renting a car. So likely the wineries will determine where we stay!

Rick's book on Provence includes a pretty detailed circular route through the Cote d'Rhone with suggestions on wineries, etc. It worked well for us, although we fell way short of visiting all the wineries.
