Provence or Bordeaux in late November?

Hello all,

My sister and I (in our early-mid 20's) are going on a food and wine voyage of France for two weeks in mid to late November. We are starting in Paris, making our way through Burgundy and then Lyon.
With four full days, we are deciding if we want to head back across the country to Bordeaux and then maybe spend a day in Loire Valley on our way back up to Paris OR if we want to travel down to Provence and spend some time in Nice and Marseille or Aix-en-Provence and then fly or train back up to Paris.

Considering weather, time of year, and our desire to experience food and wine, what do you recommend?

Apologies if this thread already exists. Thank you!!

Considering weather, time of year, and Rick's opinion that "Bordeaux must mean boredom in French," I would choose the Provencal route. Of course, he's referring to the city of Bordeaux, not small towns and wineries, but cities usually have more going on in late November. Transportation would also be faster to the east - Lyon-Marseille under 2 hours or Lyon-Nice in 4.5 hours by direct train.

The Loire can be gray in late fall. Another vote for Provence.
