We plan to drive from Gorges du Verdon to Vaison-la- Romaine. Shall we drive via Sault and go Luberon then via Sault? Will we miss the lavender season end of July first week of August? Is it too much driving on one day to go to Luberon then Sault then Vaison-la-Romaine?

You may not miss the lavender...we are here now and a lot of the fields are in bloom, but I noticed some towns don't have their lavender festivals until into the first week of August. We passed lots of sunflower fields that looked like they were still a few weeks away from bloom...and some that were in bloom.
I just wanted to mention a town we stopped into yesterday...Moustiers St Marie (you may want to double check the spelling)...it was quite a nice little town...there was a waterfall/River (maybe river is too big a name for it) thru the middle of town and it was quite pretty.
We did visit Vaison but we have been to so many small towns the last week, I can't recall what we saw where until I can look at the photos.
