Provence: 3-4 days outside/near Nice (focus on wine and relaxing)

We will be in the area for 3-4 days before a visit to Monaco for work. Staying west of Nice near Draguignan at Chateau de Berne is the plan. Wanted to relax, spa, visit some wineries each day, enjoy some nice meals, etc.

I guess I'm curious of recommendations/thoughts for the area surrounding Chateau de Berne. We will have a car, but would prefer to have manageable drives (ideally, no more than 30-45 min away). Are the wineries/vineyards as accessible as you would see in the states?

No real interest in bigger cities unless it is necessary for food. Thank you so much for the advice and thoughts.

You can go visit Tourtour, a nearby village and the Abbaye de Thoronet. Both are within that range you cited.

I've not gone wine tasting in that part of the Var, just only a bit south, where rose dominates. In the most popular wine areas, the tasting is similar to the US, with very nice tasting rooms from the larger Domaines and cooperatives that share a common space. Fees are generally less (unless you are at a very well known label). Rather than large tasting rooms open to the public, you may find very small rooms (like a side room from the bottling area), and/or by reservation only (and limited days) or via a tour. The Chateau should be able to assist.

In Tourtour, I recommend La Table de Tourtour as a restaurant.
In Lorgues, if your budget allows, chez Bruno is an amazing restaurant (1 Michelin star) specialized in truffle. My parents have been a few times and they raved about it.
There are lots of beautiful villages in the area, Tourtour is one, I also like Cotignac with a very dramatic setting at the foot of a cliff. Seillans la Cascade has a pretty waterfall, worth a stop if you pass by.
Can't help with wineries.
